Artist Bios
Anne Bullard
Anne began working with her mother, Reed, in 1996 in a small town outside of Chicago. After moving to Montana, they opened Reed Lehman Pottery in 1998. Anne worked in the gallery until the birth of her two children. With two little ones to care for she worked from home for a few years while her sister in law Sonja Jacobson ran the gallery. With her children entering school Anne was able to return to the gallery. In 2011 Anne took over Reed Lehman Pottery so her mom would be able to concentrate more on her painting and horses. Anne has a knack for western style and design and often incorporates this with wildlife in her work.
Reed Lehman
Reed’s first love in the arts was hand weaving and basketry. She furthered her art education at the art institute in Chicago. While raising two children in Barrington IL she began teaching ceramics and pastels at a small art school known as Kaleidoscope. Reed started selling ceramics in art fares in 1996 and opened Reed Lehman Pottery after moving to Montana in 1998. Not only does Reed do wonderful and often time’s whimsical pottery but she also creates fun colorful paintings, which can be viewed at the gallery as well. In the past few years Reed has felt a desire to spend more of her time painting and being with her horses on their ranch in McLeod Montana. Reed still creates pottery but has handed over the business operations to her daughter Anne, so that she can enjoy what she truly loves about the arts.
